WTF has new meaning

Steve and I were having breakfast. We heard knocking. We sat and looked at each other in disbelief. Then we went to investigate. We soon located the source. It was at the window that is level with the back lawn. That is where we fed the wildlife during the winter. Now the wild turkeys were banging on the window with their beaks saying “Where’s The Food?”

It was an interesting experience. I was happy that Steve was here with me. It is kind of an unbelievable story. As you can see, I did get a picture, but Mr. Turkey would not pose in the window.

Life is good and nature is beautiful.

Diane, I believe birds are smarter than we are sometimes. We have similar situation. Mr. Bruce puts bird feed out on our back stone wall, so we can see several birds at one times. When the feed is gone or even low, the doves dive at the window to let him know it. Been going on for years.

We started feeding the birds to provide entertainment for our cats. The window is treated so the birds don’t really know they are being watched. It was so interesting to see the cat on one side of the window and a squirrel only 3/8 inch away on the other side of the glass.

As I am sure you and Mr. Bruce know, bird feeding is a lot of fun and provides lots of enjoyment.

We only feed the little birds and squirrels during the winter. This year the wild turkeys came. They are quite destructive and they leave large messes. Our 6 year old grandson said we should teach them to go to the bathroom in the woods. I sort of felt sorry for them this morning, but with the kids playing on the lawn, I don’t want any wild turkey droppings. They will have to fend for themselves.
My mother used to breed canaries. It is so fun to watch the whole egg nesting, hatching process. Those chicks are so tiny. Does your daughter get to see them?
Bless your father for being kind to the birds.

Since my parents live in Connecticut and my daughter has not left the island she has not seeing the birds yet. But soon enough!

My dad is a big animal lover… Including me and my brother. LOL
