Today was a very special day. Steve and I got to meet a couple I have been exchanging morning Twitter greetings with for quite some time. @tojosan and @nanna_j, also known as Todd and Sharon Jordan.
We met at a really neat place called McGurk’s Public House – Irish Pub & Restaurant. Sharon said it was out in the boonies, but that is the first time I have traveled a six lane highway in the boonies. When I mentioned that fact, she and Todd explained the geography of St. Louis and the neighborhood politics. It is a very large place. Anyway we were delighted with their choice of venue.
As Todd tweeted later: “you can have 100k contacts online but nothing compares to breaking bread with friends.”
It was difficult to leave, but this other tweet from @tojosan is exciting: “.@DianeBrogan @SteveBrogan - you know that @nanna_j must now plan a trip to Vegas; maybe we’ll help you find a new Brogan Rock there.”
When our grandson signed our book, he drew a picture of Brogan Rock so we wouldn’t forget the big rock he used to climb on. We don’t have one yet in Las Vegas, but it sounds like we might be getting one
Don’t you just love meeting your on line friends in real life?
