When I awoke this morning I realized my life is changing in ways I never thought possible. There are so many words to explain how I feel, each to describe a different part of my future. I have energy I never expected to feel again in this lifetime. I am happy. I am in love all over again. Packing is tedious, but Steve and I have had a fun time doing it together. We have shared a lot of laughs. We talk. We plan. We are reshaping our lives. We are confident this is the right thing for us at this time in our life.

We have moved several times before, but this is different. We are not just moving one state over, we are moving to the other side of the continent. Everything is different. Even the sun will rise three hours later. It is a new beginning. It is all good.

Our one week in Las Vegas gave us a small taste of what life there has to offer. For me, it was even better than I imagined. Yes, it is the gambling capitol of the world. I like to gamble. Yes, there are a ton of ways for you to spend your money. I like to spend money. Yes, it is a glitzy town surrounded by dessert beauty. I like both.

There are also many beautiful exhibits to see that are FREE. I appreciate free, but I always try to give back in some way, even if it is only to say how much I enjoy the experience. The gardens at the Bellagio are breathtaking. The artwork at the Cosmopolitan is a treasure. The Fremont Experience was a whole evening of fun at no charge. When we live there, we will explore all of Vegas and find the other places of interest. I tell you all about it.

Have you ever made a life changing move?

Love your excitement and positive outlook. We sometimes forget the Vegas is more than the casino and sight seeing, people live there too. Quite normal people, whatever normal is.

Yes, have had many life changing experiences,

We met real live people in the community and they are wonderful people. We have already invited them to our house for dinner.

So far the most amazing thing about Vegas is that I have not met anyone who is native to Las Vegas. Everyone comes from somewhere else. The people we talked with are all encouraging, helpful and welcoming. It feels good.

Life changing experiences, I bet you could write a great book Miss Dazey.

I absolutely love the positive, upbeat, life-affirming feel of this post. Really happy for you both, Diane and Steve :-)

Thank you Ash. We are very excited. We are also enjoying the energy and the fun we are having just preparing for the move. It is all good : )

I guess I so accustomed to change that maybe going into the military at 17 years was something that really shocked me. But moving to the Northeast and starting my first day working in Manhattan now knowing my way around was almost as frightening as going to Basic Training. At least in Basic Training I had a drill sergeant behind me making sure I got things right.

Every time we make a change it can create good and bad stress. Just make sure you guys make some time for yourselves when you are finishing the move.

    Lots of hugs!
