We went to Springfield, MO for the sole purpose of meeting Miss Dazey. She has been my on line friend and supporter for a long time. When I learned she lived so close to St. Louis, MO, dropping by to say hi was a must. Meeting Miss Dazey was a dream come true.
We had breakfast with Miss Dazey and Mr. Bruce, also known as Linda and Bruce Crim. They are delightful. Two hours flew by like the speed of light. We talked about everything. Both Miss Dazey and Mr. Bruce are great conversationalists.
Steve, Miss Dazey and Mr. Bruce are in the picture. Miss Dazey doesn’t like her picture taken, but she approved this one. I am so happy we got a chance to meet them in real life.
When we left, Miss Dazey gave us a CD of Jeanne Robertson. We had many laugh out loud moments as we headed to Oklahoma.
Karma is wonderful. We are on our way to visit Becky McCray, but accommodations are very scare in her area. The oil business is booming. All the rooms are taken by the workers. We we very lucky to get a room at the Cherokee Inn at Cherokee, OK.
This is Lon Hawkins, owner of the Cherokee Inn. He is a retired Delta Airlines pilot. His wife, Karen, is the Mayor of Cherokee. Together they operate the Inn and Cherokee Steak House Restaurant.
Steve and I had dinner at the Cherokee Steak House. Wow! It was a great experience. The decor of the restaurant is western motif and antiques. The blend is so well done it is intriguing. The food is exceptional! Phenomenal corn chowder. Outstanding salad bar. Melt in your mouth filet mignon. Eye pleasing desserts. Five star quality.
We had a nice chat with Mr. Hawkins. He is a happy motel/restaurant owner. We are happy customers.
