Breathe is the key word. We will be ready for the moving truck on Wednesday morning! Yes! We will have everything in boxes! Yes! We will be ready to move to Las Vegas! Yes!
Our Godchild, Kathleen Cassidy, along with her husband Tom and two of her five sons TJ, and Johnathan came from Maine on Saturday to wish us safe travels. She said they also came to help. After a quick assessment, Kathleen directed a twelve hour marathon packing event.
It wasn’t until I sat down to write this post that I remembered that Kathleen used to manage major events for a living. These events happened all over the world and required massive amounts of organization. No wonder she was able to come to our house and organize everyone productively with such great ease.
Steve worked on Saturday. He would have taken the day off, but one of his poker idols, Annie Duke, was there and he could not miss this once in a lifetime event.
On Sunday morning Steve said we should slow down and take it easy. On Sunday evening Steve said: “I had no idea Kathleen that we were in trouble.” We never would have completed our packing if Kathleen had not helped get everything and everyone organized and moving forward.
Kind, caring and realizing we are still in trouble, Kathleen stayed over to help through Monday to ensure we meet deadline.
We are so blessed to have wonderful people in our life. A very special thank you for every tweet, FB comment, and G+ touch. Although I am not visible right now, it is comforting to know I am not forgotten. Love to all of you. YOU ARE AMAZING!!!
