What if there really are vampires? What if you could become a vampire simply by being scratched by one? What if it was a virus that you could recover from? All these questions and more are covered in The Coldest Girl in Coldtown. See our review below.
The Coldest Girl in Coldtown, written by Holly Black, and narrated by Christine Larkin, is a story of high school students dancing with the danger of being blood donors for vampires. The scary, fantastic, glamorous events of Coldtown are tweeted, Facebooked, and YouTubed for everyone to see. Often, the social networks are the only means of communications between those in Coldtown and those on the outside.
Holly Black chronicles all that, but she also tells of the dark side of being a vampire and what that means.
This interesting book is very well written and highly recommended.
