12th Of Never – A Book Review

Never

The ladies of the Women’s Murder Club have new adventures in the 12th of Never. The opening paragraph was so captivating, I wanted to drop everything and just immerse myself in the book.

This may be the 12th in the series, but it is as fresh as if it were the first. It is fast passed, full of excitement and intrigue.

We highly recommend this well written book.

Hannah Shapiro and her mother were kidnapped while they were happily clothes shopping for Hannah’s bat mitzvah. Hannah’s mother was brutally raped and killed in front of Hannah. The owner of Private rescued Hannah and continued to protect her.

All was well until she went to school in London eight years later. She was kidnapped again. Then mutilated female bodies started turning up in in London.

Dan Carter, head of Private London, worked in fear that Hannah would be one of the bodies. The search was on with many twists and turns.

The ending has many surprises. We hope you will enjoy the book as much as we did.

Sadly Alex is called upon to mediate one of the worst family tragedies one can imagine. It is not a good way to spend Christmas Eve.

The Christmas Train – A Book Review

Journalist Tom Langdon is traveling by train from Washington DC to LA for Christmas. He was going to write a story, like Mark Twain. The train ride turns out to be a very personal journey when he encounters his only true love Eleanor who walked out on him years ago.
The train ride is full of adventure and personal discovery for Tom and Eleanor. The many unique personalities makes for an exciting story.
We highly recommend this most enjoyable Christmas story.

Let the Sunshine In – A Little Bit

In the Southwest, the sun can get pretty hot when it comes through the window. It reminds me of the experiment we did as kids when we used a magnifying glass with the sun to start a fire. Somewhere along the way, I heard of solar screens. I asked our realtor, Michael Petit, about them. He recommended Southwest Solar Screens and the rest is history.

Guilt By Degrees – A Book Review

D.A. Rachel Knight and and Detective Bailey Keller team up to identify the homeless man who was killed in board daylight in the middle of a crowed street. His identity and the maze Clark takes the reader through is fascinating. I would have liked more answers at the end of the book, but I expect Clark to write another book that picks up where this one left off.

Tabloid City – A Book Review

This is a brilliantly done book. The city is the main character. The author of the story is the city paper The World. There are many characters in the book. They either work at the paper or are news items in the paper. Pete Hamill does an outstanding job of opening the book with a double murder of a New York socialite and her secretary. We meet many different people and then the book closes when the murder is solved. This book is so well done I want to read more of Pete Hamill’s work.
